The meticulously renovated Lloyd Jones Barn Pavilion is a unique vestige of rural Wisconsin farm history. It was built by Charles Lloyd Jones (Frank Lloyd Wright’s first cousin), a progressive, award-winning farmer in the 1920s.  Renovated by an expert team of local architects and craftspeople, the Barn Pavilion now features a restored cathedral-like beamed ceiling, state-of-the-art theatrical lighting designed by an award winning lighting designer and large rolling barn doors that open to sweeping prairie vistas. It is the perfect canvas for any event style from rustic-on-rustic to the dramatic juxtaposition of elegance and country charm. Sustainability and sensitivity to the Barn Pavilion’s heritage were our priorities during renovation. Many re-purposed materials from the original structure – and the land – were carefully harvested and used or re-used, including all of the windows. The beautiful oak encasing the support columns in the barn is from the exterior siding of a demolished building. The cherry used to make the distinctive “live edge” counter tops surrounding the interior of the Barn Pavilion and the oak used in the barn were harvested, milled and solar-dried on property.  The Lloyd Jones Barn Pavilion has soul; it is unique to the terrain and the character of the southern Wisconsin Driftless Area we call home.
