The Pumpkin Hotel Pvt Ltd was registered in 1997 Registration No 2984/97 as a private company. A wholly indigenous company The Pumpkin is the brainchild of its founder and Chief Executive Mr. Douglas Mrewa. Its unusual name is another of Mr. Mrewa's special touches named after his father, Chinhanga, a word for pumpkin in Shona. The hotel was officially opened in December 1999 though it had commenced operating a few years before. The Pumpkin Hotel is one of the best-equipped country hotels in Zimbabwe with a unique blend of modern luxury and comfort and accessibility to rural life. The hotel is situated exactly 215km from Harare on the Harare - Nyamapanda highway in Kotwa, Mudzi district. This fully air-conditioned hotel is easily accessible, as it is less than 20 metres off the highway. We also have a Head Office located in Harare being No 29 Scanlen Drive, Borrowdale, Harare.
