Carmen, front desk, is always kind and helpful. The rooms are nice and very clean. I love The Penguin Hotel! The Penguin Hotel, is an example of 1940's Late Art Deco style, which suggests the upcoming International Style of the fifties and sixties. Its original name was the Golden Dawn hotel. The hotel is situated directly on Ocean Drive and 14th street, the "quiet side" of Miami Beach, directly across from South Beach and only a few steps away from Lincoln Road, popular restaurants, bars and clubs. The property, presently under Swiss Management, was renovated in 2006 by a French Designer. The hotel has a lounge on site and guests also have access to the amenities of the sister property the President Hotel (located directly behind the Penguin Hotel), which offers nice, relaxing patio with a refreshing splach pool.
