About

The Texas Rock House is a barn & farm wedding venue in San Marcos, Texas, that provides a rustic setting for wedding events. If you are searching for a venue that can do justice to the countryside wedding you have always pined for, this might just be the choice for you. Facilities and Capacity Comprising five main areas, this venue has the 1940's Rustic Barn, an outdoor ceremony site, our new Ranch Building, the Country Cottage and the Rock Farm House. Fusing the natural elements of its provincial surroundings with the cozy interior of its two indoor spaces, the Texas Rock House combines the best of both worlds. Having your reception in the venue’s garden means you can enjoy the estate’s own one-acre landscape. It also gives you plenty of room for your guests to sit while you and your intended tie the knot. The barn & ranch building, complete with round tables, can each accommodate 100 people, while the deck alongside it gives extra standing room for those keen to mingle. Services Offered Venue is complete with a movable buffet/bar and tasteful mood lighting (both inside and out). Outside, couples can find colorful flowers planted here and there as well as rustic benches - great for photo opportunities. What’s more, for larger wedding parties, you can rent out tented covering as an additional space. Plus, they provide all-important services of cleanup, setup, plenty of chairs, and tables. Texas Rock House also works with a variety of outside vendors. It can recommend companies to you for any services you might need. Accommodation The farmhouse itself can provide couples with the option to stay the night on site, meaning less hassle attempting to book accommodation elsewhere. When the night is over and the happy couple wants to slink away to toast their marriage in private by the fireside, the house allows for that. In fact, with three bedrooms, the extended wedding party can stay the night, too. The Country Cottage is equipped with a sleeper sofa, TV, bar, refrigerator, bathroom facilities and Xbox (if requested), and is available to rent overnight also. History Originally built in the 1940's, the venue has managed to retain its authentic feel and tone over the years. Passed down through the family from grandfather, to daughter, and on to the current proprietor (granddaughter), there is plenty of history at this venue - and your wedding could be the latest chapter.
