The Sylvia is our favorite place to stay in Vancouver! Old timey charm, friendly staff, great music in the restaurant, incredibly convenient location! We stayed for three nights and got to downtown, Granville Island and nearby restaurants with ease because of great location. Front desk staff were able to skillfully answer all of our requests for information about Stanley Park to adjusting our TV. We'll be back! An historic, well run hotel in an amazing location on English Bay. The staff all seemed very pleasant. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Hotel was very clean. Quaint and comfortable in an amazing location. Love staying in the hotel. Great room, location and hotel. This is now the second time I've stayed at the Sylvia Hotel. I love the history, the location, the large rooms and the friendly staff! I don't think I would ever stay anywhere else in Vancouver. The view out of the restaurant and lounge is spectacular! Very adequate place to stay for the price. Clean with a comfortable bed. Room was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful experience at the Sylvia Hotel. They are extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at 12pm. Every staff member we encountered from the front desk to the cleaning staff were extremely friendly. A great downtown location directly across the street to English Bay Beach and we loved strolling the beach from the hotel all the way to Granville Island.
