Very comfortable stay and the lady on the desk was very helpful with some room accommodations that kept us on the ground floor. My husband has back issues and climbing stairs with luggage would not have been enjoyable. Room came with a full kitchen including a full size refrigerator! Shower was delightful. Room was very clean. We have been here for two days and during the stay the staff has been very courteous. Also the rooms are clean and the grounds beautiful. Great location with good restaurants in walking distance; clean and the breakfast is great. The price is fair. Pet friendly. We would come back for sure. The Front Office Manager, Elizabeth Rivera, went above and beyond when the A/C in our room was not working properly. There was last minute cancellation and she was able to relocate us to another room. We were very grateful as it was during the heat wave and the temperature was in the high 90's. Facility was very clean. Best Western Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU(a AAA 2-diamond hotel) is conveniently located 1 mile from San Diego State University, and only 15 minutes from Downtown, the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. About half of our rooms have two queen beds, and many of the rooms include kitchen facilities, making this the ideal place for an extended stay. Amenities include: complimentary expanded continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi and parking,DVD players in each room, heated outdoor pool, and children 12 and under stay free. Pet friendly.
