Property Description

Our family used the Kamehameha to welcome and help our family leave the islands with a very good experience of our Hawaiian culture and local food that is excellent. We welcomed some visitors here and helped calm and send our visitors home ready for them to hit the ground running with the great clean rooms, food and pool beside the beautiful beach just outside their doors. Much Mahalo for the services provided to our ohana. We will be there again. The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable and hospitable. Would love to stay again. We have never been to a hotel that was so organized! The staff was helpful as well as polite. The welcome was amazing at the hotel. The special arrangements for our anniversary were great. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. The breakfast buffet had variety. It was an amazing stay. Nice room clean and friendly Staff. Very Good Very nice resort and close to the local scene. My husband and I enjoyed our room accommodations. We were fortunate to see the Christmas parade and we were able to see it from our balcony view. Perfect Kona location, 8 miles from Kona Airport, close to local shopping, dining, and cultural activities. Kona-Keauhou trolley service complimentary. Hotel location is historically significant Kamakahonu Bay, King Kamehameha the Great resided and ruled from this location. Hotel completely renovated in 2012 with Island themed decor. Historical displays and art collection displayed throughout lobby. Honu's On The Beach Restaurant open daily for scrumptious Breakfast Buffet with "made to order" Omelet station, as well Ala Carte menu. Lunch served at the Billfish Poolside Bar & Grille enjoy local appetizers, sandwiches, pizzas and refreshing tropical drinks. Dinner is served in the Honu's On The Beach Restaurant service Contemporary Cuisine including a Sushi Bar on Sundays through Thursday, known for our spectacular Prime Rib & Seafood Buffet held on Fridays & Saturdays. Enjoy the Island Breeze Luau held Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, voted #1 Luau in West Hawaii.
