The J.O. Sundstrom Building began its 134-year existence as a department store. The original owners both emigrated from Sweden. Jacob O. Sundstrom moved to Lindsborg with his dream of starting a new-concept department store, seen only in the metropolitan areas at that time. His dream came true with the store opening December 23, 1879 at the town's prime intersection. In 2011, the now city owned building, was redesigned and complete reconstruction of the building took place. The Sundstrom Conference Center opened in 2013. With over 15,000 square feet of space, the conference center boasts configurations to accommodate groups of four to 400. Situated in charming downtown Lindsborg, the Sundstrom is a perfect spot for wedding ceremony and receptions. The Banquet Hall (1st Floor) has

The 2nd floor of the facility is the Dansstalle

All venue rentals include in-stock tables and chairs. The Sundstrom has full bar capabilities on both floors. Rental times are for five hours - meaning - when your guest arrive until the last dance. Extra hours can be purchased. By catering your meal from the Sundstrom’s menu of local caterers, you

• a self-serve drink station with coffee, water and iced tea during the rental

You can bring in catering from a licensed caterer. Fees for the Facility are different from the above prices. Items that were included in the Facility fee with a catering package are not included with outside catering. More information can be shared upon request.
