Hartman’s Herb Farm is a wedding and event venue in Barre, Massachusetts. This small family farm sits on 23 acres and is ran by Lynn Hartman and her daughter, Carissa. Lynn and her husband Peter began potting plants they found on this property they purchased in 1975. Her plants were in high demand so Lynn and Peter perfected their growing technique and added four greenhouses to the property. They have a wide variety of herbs, flowers, vegetables and perennials. As their business grew, so did their services.
Facilities and Capacity
Hartman’s Herb farm has four greenhouses, a gift shop filled with locally made items and dried flowers from their farm, a classroom for teaching the community how to craft arrangements, and a dining room to host events. The dining room is a large open space that features wood floors, arches, exposed beams, high ceilings and large windows. Off the dining room french doors open to a small covered patio for additional seating. The dining room can accommodate 200 guests. The grounds of the farm can be used for outdoor ceremonies.
Services Offered
The event staff are your wedding planners. They work with you closely to discuss every detail to make your day flawless. They offer accommodations, rental items, catering and bar services, wedding cakes and desserts and floral arrangements. Hartman’s offers four overnight guest rooms for the bride and groom and a small number of guests. The rooms can also be used as a bridal suite. They offer white chair covers, burlap bows, colored chair bows with white chair covers, white chiavari chairs and gold chiavari chairs.
Cuisine
Hartman’s Herb Farm offers catering and bar services for all your events. No outside catering or alcohol is permitted at events. Their bar can be used as a cash or open bar and only serves beer and wine. They recommend you choose one red wine and one white wine and their wait staff will serve both during your cocktail hour. Their culinary team uses the freshest ingredients when preparing your menus. They assist you through the process and make recommendations on delicious food and drink pairings. They can accommodate food allergies.
