Set in the heart of Old Quebec, Le Monastère des Augustines was founded in 1639 as the birthplace of the first hospital in Canada and the US. Sensitively restored and redesigned, this National Historic Site of Canada opened to the public in 2015 and offers an innovative concept blending wellbeing and heritage. Suffused with the inspiring history of the Augustinian Sisters, Le Monastère pays tribute to the dedication of the sisters to holistic health, and perpetuates their mission of healing through a contemporary offer, all within a secular environment. The experience of renewal offered at Le Monastère includes accommodations in a 17th-century cloister, healthy cuisine highlighting local products, immersive museology that showcases the evolution of medical thinking through the ages, daily activities like meditation and yoga, meeting rooms, team building activities, and much more!
