Union Station's majestic red-brick and granite "headhouse," built in 1888, is recognized as one of the finest Romanesque Revival-styled structures in America. Facilities and Capacity
The Romanesque Revival style stands out among the modern city. It’s grand hall provides a stunning reception space with soaring barreled ceilings and a decorative stained glass window. The grand hall is able to accommodate up to 600 guests for your reception. The Illinois Street ballroom offers a neutral pallet and city views for smaller ceremonies and events.

The event coordinator will provide complimentary items to each couple. Along with the use of the facility, you’ll receive champagne toasts, overnight accommodations and complementary centerpieces. History
Built in 1888, the station now sits on the National Register of Historic Places. It once held the title of America’s first union station. At one point, the building had five railroad tracks running though it’s facility. The tracks moved train cars, which held passengers like Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Edison.
