Flamingo Gardens Botanical Garden & Wildlife Sanctuary is a full-service wedding venue located near Miami, South Florida. Your guests will be surrounded by lush greenery and preserved nature, while free-roaming peacocks provide a stunning backdrop for photos and memorable times. With multiple ceremony and reception spaces available for rent, we offer different options depending on your specific wants and needs. Whether you’re looking to book an intimate micro-wedding, or an extravagant ceremony and reception, our garden venue is perfect for whatever you may be looking for.   Facilities & Accommodations Our historical Banyan Tree grows directly behind our wedding arch, providing a majestic covering and backdrop while you say your vows. Or if you’d prefer a more rustic touch, our garden gazebo can transform into the perfect space to say, “I do”. Close-by, we offer a beautiful cocktail area complete with bistro lighting and high-top tables, which can be decorated to your desire. Our reception area is an outdoor covered pavilion and can accommodate up to 200 guests, with a fully-functioning kitchen that our caterers work from directly. The surrounding lattice of the space can be lifted, to provide cross-breeze and a full view of the garden. Additional space within the pavilion can be used for a DJ, photobooth, and a dancefloor. Only steps away from our venue options, is our bridal cottage – perfect for day-of preparations. Chairs, tables, and outlets can be provided for your special day, and our preferred florist is especially talented at providing our guests with the décor of their choice. A day-of planner can be requested to guide you through a stress-free wedding, so you and your guests can relax and enjoy your time spent together. Our veteran caterers offer options for full-service bars and signature cocktails, as well as a broad array of hors d'oeuvres, buffet options, or singular plates of your choice.   History Originally founded in 1927 by Floyd & Jane Wray as "Flamingo Groves" citrus orchard, FG became one of the first botanical gardens and tourist attractions in South Florida. Today, Flamingo Gardens is one of the last natural jungle growths preserved in Southern Florida, with over 3,000 tropical and subtropical species of plants and trees. 60 acres of land, located around the second-highest point in all of Broward, stands as the home for multiple champion trees, orchids, and free-roaming wildlife. As a non-profit rescue-and-release rehabilitation center, Flamingo Gardens is also the home to many of our animal ambassadors scattered throughout the 10 walking acres of the garden. The property itself is listed as a Broward Cultural Heritage Landmark, while the Wray Home Museum is registered as a Historic Landmark with the state of Florida.
