Faul Family Riverside Farm is a barn wedding venue located in Sulphur, Kentucky. Just 40 minutes outside of Louisville, this venue is part of a fully-functioning working farm. The Faul family is dedicated to sustainable and ethical farming practices, which they began at their farm in South Africa. After emigrating in 2001, they opened the Faul Family River Farm with the goal of bringing mutualism and care for the land to their work. This is a passion that extends to their event space and welcoming couples to the property. Faul Family Riverside Farm can host up to 220 guests in its spacious open-air barn. Ideal for receptions, this barn is beautifully decorated with exposed light bulbs and fairy lights, which hang from the rafters. Rustic accents have been added throughout, including wrought-iron wheels and wooden wheelbarrows. Ceremonies can be held anywhere on the expansive grounds, which make for a luscious green backdrop to tie the knot. Couples can customize their ceremony to their tastes, adding as many chairs as they’d like, as well as an arch that the venue provides. The nearby historic farmhouse is available for couples and their guests to get ready before the wedding. These get-ready rooms are thoughtfully decorated with elegant chandeliers, antique lamps, and wingback armchairs. The farmhouse is great for taking pre-wedding photos, and is where guests will find parking and restrooms. Services Offered
Rental of Faul Family Riverside Farm comes with exclusive access to the barn, grounds, and farmhouse from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. This allows plenty of time for couples and their loved ones to load in supplies and clean up afterward. In addition to the venue, couples can rent rectangular tables that seat 10, chairs, tablecloths, and dishware. Special items for rent include mason jars, an assortment of candle holders, battery candles, and tobacco cloth. A glass carafe for water and galvanized tub for holding drinks are also available, and add vintage accents to the reception. For those couples working with a caterer, a prep kitchen and storage space are also available. Surrounded by the rolling fields of the Kentucky countryside, this venue provides a romantic wedding experience in an unforgettable location.
