eVentGuru Insight The Fraternal Order of Eagles is a dedicated organization committed to helping communities by supporting essential causes and bringing people together in unity. Eagles #34 Shadewald Hall Our Mission Statement At the Fraternal Order of Eagles, our mission is to bring people together with the values of freedom, truth, justice, and equality. We aim to improve life by reducing hardship and encouraging peace, happiness, and hope. Each year, we donate over $10 million to support local communities, fundraisers, charities, and more. Our philosophy is simple: every dollar raised goes back to the community through grants. We focus on eight main causes, including kidney, heart, diabetes, cancer, spinal cord injury, children's support, our memorial foundation, and the Golden Eagle Fund. Our History Founded in February 1898, the F.O.E. began when six theater owners met in Seattle to resolve a musicians' strike. After settling their differences, they decided to create "The Order of Good Things." With a growing membership, the Bald Eagle became our symbol, and we renamed ourselves the "Fraternal Order of Eagles." Our women's auxiliary was established in 1927. Today, the F.O.E. has nearly 800,000 members and over 1,500 locations across the U.S. and Canada. Visit one of our locations to see why we're known as People Helping People.
