Beautiful Blue Pacific Ocean Sun Surf and White Sandy Beaches At the mouth of the San Luis River Oceansides 3 1/2 miles of beaches offer year-round opportunities for ocean recreation. There are several National Surfing Championships including the World Body Surfing Championships in mid-August. Long popular with the yachting set Oceanside boasts one of the largest Small-Craft Harbors on the Pacific Coast.
