Appalachian View is a modern barn wedding venue located near Linville, North Carolina. This classic-style venue provides stunning eastern and western views of the Blue Ridge Mountains while hosting your wedding on the southern side of Sugar Mountain. We offer indoor and outdoor locations to host any of your wedding events, including the ceremony and reception, rehearsal dinner, engagement party, bridal shower, or elopement from May to November each year. Appalachian View is located just west of Linville, North Carolina, and close to Banner Elk, Newland, Boone, and Grandfather Mountain.

Facilities and Capacity Appalachian View can accommodate up to 200 guests among three different spaces at the location. There are beautiful outdoor spaces with scenic mountain views, while the indoor heated reception building boasts 3,000 square feet of space to make your own. Your loved ones can enjoy the outdoor patios, and a gas fire pit can be used once the sun goes down. The panoramic views of the mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop for your photographs. There are get-ready rooms for couples and their wedding parties to use on the day of the wedding. Ample parking is available on-site, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. For smaller gatherings, we offer all-inclusive Micro-wedding and Elopement packages that include everything you need to make your special day perfect.

Services Offered You have the option to bring in outside vendors, including outside alcohol, to help execute your special day. A caterer's kitchen and built-in bar are located inside the building, with easy access to the patio. The talented staff can clean up the venue spaces once the wedding is over. Appalachian View provides chairs, tables, linens, and lighting to use. You will have the opportunity to use the space to walk through your ceremony ahead of time during a rehearsal. For small gatherings, we offer all-inclusive packages that include an on-site day of coordinator, bouquets, ceremony music, a champagne toast, and more.

History Owners Cathy and Dale Buchanan are natives of North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mountains and have enjoyed this location for years. In the past, they have used the area to host weddings for loved ones and are excited to open it up to more couples and the public. The Buchanans believe Appalachian View is a beautiful place to start a couple's lives together.
