eVentGuru Insight The Rhythm Society Orchestra brings genuine vintage swing music to life! With authentic style, experienced musicians, and a complete entertainment package, they'll make your event lively and fun for everyone. About Rhythm Society Orchestra Rhythm Society Orchestra, a 16-piece dance big band that specializes in playing old-style swing music. Some bands say they play songs by famous artists like Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, and others, but we perform these tunes just like those original bands did. We stick to how the music sounded when it was really popular in the USA, with no modern changes. Even though we're based in Detroit, we travel across the Midwest for events like classy receptions. Our singer, Paul King, mixes his style using influences from singers like Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Frank Sinatra, and Cab Calloway. We've been on local TV and radio, and we've got loads of experience making events awesome and unforgettable. People at your party will be dancing like crazy! We're a full entertainment package. Along with big band music, we offer a solo pianist or a small jazz group for the start of your event or during dinner. We can also play your chosen recorded music at those times or between our sets. We've got a sound expert and a wireless mic, and we can make announcements and even bring in top-notch swing dance teachers for a quick 20-minute lesson. Reception places and clients really like us because we handle everything once you give us the space. Want some more modern tunes played? Just give us the songs, and we'll use our great sound system. We can dress in black tuxedos, white dinner jackets, vintage-style black suits with straight ties, or even old-time military outfits, although most clients prefer black tuxedos for receptions. See us perform! We've got lots of public and private gigs all year round. We're the top choice for fancy venues like Meadowbrook Mansion, Detroit Athletic Club, Detroit Masonic Temple, Detroit Yacht Club, and more. Let us show you why we're the best! Check us outlive and hear us play!
