Outpost 36 is a craft BBQ catering service for weddings and special occasions in Keller, Texas. It was founded in 2023 and quickly established itself as a Keller staple. We proudly serve quality, authentic Texas BBQ using locally grown cattle from our own Ranch in Sulphur Springs. In 2018, Chris Polk, Jeff Lowery, and Dwight Dowell, all longtime friends, came up with the idea to open a unique restaurant. In 2019, they brought on Trevor Wyatt, who has experience spanning two decades in various concepts, to help. They began the creation of a concept that was focused on American Pride and History. In 2020, they launched Horizon 76, a scratch/craft restaurant with traditional American cuisine done better. Its theme focused on America and the endless opportunities available to all in our country. Horizon 76 was well received by locals, and Chris, Jeff, Dwight, and Trevor wanted to give more to the community. After acquiring a ranch south of Sulphur Springs and beginning to grow and source their own beef and pork, they decided that BBQ was the next step. Outpost 36 Texas BBQ, whose doors opened in July 2023, was born. Since then, Outpost has provided the community a place to enjoy quality BBQ in a beautiful environment that celebrates Texas pride and history. Outpost 36 has two private rooms, the capacity for a rehearsal dinner, and a goal to ensure that every event is memorable.
